Appalachian Mission Trip
!!! THERE’S STILL TIME TO SIGN-UP !!!
August 6-9, 2009
We will leave Thursday, August 6th, in the evening and drive to McCreary County, KY.  We will work Friday and Saturday and then head home on Sunday, August 9th.  McCreary County is one of the poorest counties in the United States.  We will be doing home repair and other needed work in the community.  The cost is $150 per person.  Contact Mary Clare Carpenter for more information at (615) 297-8563 or mccarpenter@woodmontcc.org.

Mark you calendars for August 23rd when The Reflections Class will begin discussion of “Kicking Habits: Welcome Relief for Addicted Churches.”  Roy Stauffer will facilitate in Room 200 at 11:00 a.m. and requests that at least the first 100 pages be read in advance.  This book is suggested reading for the congregation and one to which Clay makes frequent references.  Join us as we explore its ideas and discuss how they relate to our mission and values.  Copies are available in the Spire Bookstore.
